Project Manager Shakespeare Mine
URSA Major Minerals Incorporated, a TSX listed public company with a
corporate office located in Toronto, is reactivating mining operations
at its Shakespeare Nickel Mine located 70 km west of Sudbury, Ontario.
The company has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to manage the
Shakespeare Mine. Reporting to the President, the Project Manager will
be responsible for coordinating all facets of the open pit mining,
crushing and haulage operations at Shakespeare as well as the direction
and management of safety and environmental programs for the site. The
position will require daily site supervision at the Shakespeare Mine.
As a self starter in a team environment, you will play a key role in
the successful restart of open pit mining operations at the Shakespeare
Mine and the future planned development of a 4,500 tonne per day open
pit mining and milling operation.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record at mining or quarry operation
- Previous experience with environmental programs
- Understanding of the Ontario Occupational Health and
Safety Act with demonstrated commitment to and leadership in
workplace safety
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent inter-personal, communication skills and
computer literate
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold a
relevant qualification in a mineral resource / mining / civil
engineering discipline with professional accreditation
